Baking soda can do amazing things.

Yup–just baking soda. So here’s a few tips and tricks for using baking soda to it’s maximum benefit:

1. Oil and grease stains on your clothes?

Add baking soda to your wash–it helps remove these types of stains.

2. Safely clean baby bottles by using baking soda and hot water.

3. Ever burn a pot so badly you wanted to just throw it away?

Don’t!

Pour a thick layer of baking soda on the burnt pan, sprinkle just enough water to moisten it, and let it sit overnight. The next morning, scrub it clean.

4. Sprinkle your carpets with baking soda and let it sit for an hour before vacuuming it up. The first time I did this I was afraid that it wouldn’t come up easily–but it does.

5. To remove water stains on a wooden floor, make a solution of baking soda dissolved in water and sponge it on the stain. Wipe dry.

6. Smelly mop?

Soak it in a bucket of hot water and baking soda.

7.  Brighten clothes and remove odors by adding half a cup of baking soda to laundry.

8. Clean your bathroom with baking soda. It dissolves dirt like a mutha.

9. Grease fire? It happens. To quench, douse with baking soda–the carbon dioxide released when the powder burns starves the fire.

11. Remove pesticides and chemicals from fruits and veggies by filling a pot with water and 3-4 tablespoons of baking soda.
